The Programme

Phase 1: Onboarding (6 weeks in Singapore)

Participating Singapore-based companies will attend workshops and one-to-one sessions that will prepare them for doing business in London. Workshops conducted may cover the following areas:

  • Defining business priorities

  • How to do business in the UK

  • Individual SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity and threats) analysis

  • Developing one’s pitch and how to communicate objectives effectively in the UK.

IoT Tribe will organise sessions at lunchtimes and after work hours. Companies are required to commit at least 12 hours over 6 weeks.

Phase 2: UK soft-landing (1 week market immersion in London)

Participating companies will undergo a 1 week immersion in the UK, with the intent of capturing real business opportunities and making in-market connections.

Depending on the needs of participants, the immersion trip may offer the following activities:

  • Orientation of the London business ecosystem, including introduction to business activities and opportunities in the UK

  • Workshops on how to raise funds for expansion

  • One-to-one meetings with potential customers, investors and partners

  • Innovation Tour of London’s ecosystem

  • Tailored, invitation-only industry events attended by investors, startups and other key ecosystem players in London

The immersion trip may also be timed to coincide with large-scale industry events in London, to provide companies with more opportunities to engage a broad range of potential business connections.

Phase 3: Anchoring Impact (15 weeks)

After the immersion programme, participants will return to Singapore and develop concrete follow-up action plans based on leads established in the UK. Phase 3 includes group workshops for companies to review and share their experiences in the UK, and one-on-one sessions to build on potential business leads.
